After achieving the status of becoming number 1 search engine Google has also joined the band of launching smart phones. Google itself doesn't make phones, but instead HTC Corp. is producing Google's Nexus One and is marketed by Google. Google phone runs on Android Platform.
What is Android?
Android is a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices developed by Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola and Samsung together known as the Open Handset Alliance.
Google Nexus One is the product of Google lab. Customers can buy and download mobile content from Android Market of Google like Apple's App Store.
